PROJECT NAME

Public Art

The Vinz on Fairfax is a multi family residential property. Our task was to find a solution to replace a series of non functional multi-media panels with a static image. The property is high end and client wanted a visual which captured the essence of Hollywood without being literal. Additionally, the property pays homage to expressionistic art, such as Van Gogh.

Our solution, Bloom, is a lenticular design featuring two distinct images, each viewed independently depending on which direction the audience approaches the lobby. The main image is a vertical sliced abstract, an expressionistic view of two images. From the east one sees a fashion oriented visual—a glamourous model who's hair is replaced with a collage of nature. From the west, one views an interpretation of our model's dream, her future, a explosion of energy and hope.

The lenticular concept is a jumbo version of the lenticular printing process, whereby images are printed on two different planes of a triangle, with only one image viewable in full from either direction. You may have seen this concept on a card or a cup, where someone appears to be winking at you if you turn the image slightly.
